Artist Bio

Words are at the heart of everything Aicha does. A South East London-born spoken word artist, her work combines powerful storytelling, rhythm and an expressive delivery that allows her to bring real depth to the words on the page.

Aicha has performed at two of London’s most iconic venues, The Roundhouse and The Barbican, and has collaborated with brands and organisations including Lululemon, Save the Children and Penguin Books.

Her work as a writer has also broken new ground. Aicha wrote the UK’s first Black hair Christmas television advert, using storytelling to bring an important and previously underrepresented experience to television.

Whether she’s performing her own words or bringing somebody else’s to life, Aicha’s background in spoken word gives her a strong understanding of rhythm, emotion and delivery. From live performance to brand collaborations, her work is rooted in the power of a well-told story and knowing exactly how to make the words land.
