Artist Bio
Ailsa Bennett is a proud Geordie and her voice – somewhere between Newcastle and neutral – makes her a natural storyteller. Whether she’s narrating audiobooks for Audible and Spotify, voicing educational content for BBC Bitesize, or bringing scripts to life for brands like Capital, Hits Radio, and Redbricks Media, she brings warmth, energy, and a touch of mischief to every project.
Her love of performing started with Musical Theatre before she trained in Acting at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts. But it was representing her school for the BBC Carleton Hobbs Bursary in 2022 that opened her eyes to the magic of voiceover. Since then, she’s been carving out a career in the industry – building a solid reputation as a talented, adaptable performer (and someone you definitely want to work with again!).
Outside the booth, Ailsa is a part-time pet sitter and self-proclaimed “fun auntie” to the cats and dogs of Salford. She’s a bit of an accidental adrenaline junkie – so make sure to ask about her travels, which have led to more near-death experiences than she’d like to admit…But for now, her biggest goal is to land more character work (CBeebies, she’s looking at you!).
