Artist Bio
Alex is a bilingual Welsh voice artist and actor with a background as eclectic as her skillset. A natural mimic and trained singer, she started acting professionally as a child and never looked back. At Cambridge, she threw herself into plays and comedy, before training at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where she won the Michael Bryant Award at the National Theatre for her final-year Shakespeare performance.
Since then, Alex has built a vibrant career across stage, screen, and audio. She originated the role of Mrs Bucket in the West End production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and has performed with the Old Vic, Birmingham Rep, and National Theatre Wales. On screen, she’s appeared in films including Darkest Hour, Juliet, Naked, and Sulphur and White, and on TV in Unforgotten, Foyle’s War, The Hollow Crown, and The Bench.
Her voice work is equally diverse, ranging from classic literature adaptations (The Invisible Man, Survivors for Big Finish), to video games (Mandragora), and true crime investigations (Cold Tapes). Alex brings a warm intelligence, versatility, and sharp wit to her voiceover work, whether she’s narrating, creating characters, or crafting moods in commercials and podcasts.
When she’s not working, she’s a dedicated home renovator with a knack for plumbing, plastering, and soldering copper pipes. She’s also a maths enthusiast and a keen cook – and secretly hopes to one day combine all those skills in one highly specific project.
