Artist Bio

Born in Lewisham, Dan’s journey into broadcasting began while studying Music at the University of Westminster, where he first got behind the mic at the university’s Smoke Radio. From there he went on to present on Worldwide FM, the station founded by Gilles Peterson, before establishing himself as a broadcaster and voice artist across UK radio and television.

Dan is now heard on Jazz FM presenting Could Jazz Hop, a Saturday night show exploring the relationship between jazz and hip-hop – from the genre’s earliest roots to the sounds shaping it today.

His voiceover career began with Channel 4 and E4, where his first announcement introduced Bob’s Burgers on E4. He later became the voice of BBC Radio 1Xtra and has voiced numerous BBC radio campaigns, including Sport Relief content with Greg James. Dan also made history as the first continuity announcer for BET International’s UK channel, working across both London and the United States.

As part of the team of freelance BBC TV continuity announcers, Dan has been heard across BBC One, BBC Two and BBC Three – including introducing the UEFA Women’s Euro Final in 2022, watched by a peak BBC One audience of 17.4 million as England’s Lionesses beat Germany at Wembley.

Alongside broadcasting, his voice has featured in campaigns and projects for BBC, ITV, Sky, Channel 4, Channel 5, Apple, WWE, the NBA, Barclays, Arsenal FC, Riot Games’ League of Legends, PlayStation’s Mafia III, UKTV and more, as well as music campaigns for artists including DJ Khaled, Jay-Z, Lil Nas X and Lil Wayne with Justin Bieber.

Outside of voice work, Dan is also a musician – writing, singing and rapping, and performing with artists including Wretch 32 and George The Poet at venues such as the Royal Albert Hall and the BBC Introducing Stage at Hackney Weekender.
