Artist Bio
Fanta is a poet, artist, and activist from Harlem, New York, whose words have taken her from street protests to some of the biggest stages in the country. She’s performed everywhere from school auditoriums to NYC’s PlayStation Theatre, Barclays Center, The Apollo, DC’s Kennedy Center, and the legendary SOBs. Along the way, she’s collaborated with incredible artists like Idina Menzel, Mahogany L. Browne, and Joy Harjo.
In the world of voiceover, she’s lent her youthful yet deeply emotive voice to brands like PUMA and BALMAIN. She’s also graced high-profile events such as the Global Citizen Festival (opening for Shawn Mendes), the Earthshot Prize Summit for Bloomberg Philanthropies, and a Juneteenth celebration hosted by the NYC Mayor.
Fanta was awarded the first-ever Wonder Grant from the Shawn Foundation, which she used to fund her debut poetry collection, For All The Things I Never Got to Say – available now at FantaBallo.com. Whether she’s performing, writing, or championing young artists, Fanta is committed to using her voice to make an impact.
