Kamal Boulema

Artist Bio

Born and raised in Amsterdam, Kamal is Dutch/Moroccan and moved to London to train on the BA Acting course at Mountview, graduating in 2023. Shortly afterwards, he headed to Italy to tour as Lord Henry Wotton in The Picture of Dorian Gray, beginning a new chapter that has since taken him across stage and screen.

His screen work includes playing the cocky but warm-hearted Kevin Bracknall in feature film The Last Resort, alongside the forthcoming HBO Max drama-documentary Facing Evil, where he appears as rough-but-charming Southern detective Mike Joyner. He’s also appeared in commercials for Heineken, Visit Qatar and Currys, as well as a number of short films, most recently POV, a story uniquely told through the eyes of classic cameras.

On stage, Kamal has performed at the Bush Theatre in Talking People, adding to a CV that’s becoming almost as varied as the careers that came before it.

With an actor’s instinct, a public speaker’s understanding of communication and a jazz drummer’s feel for rhythm, Kamal brings an unusual mix of skills and life experience to his work. Turns out taking the scenic route can come in pretty handy behind a mic!
