Robert J Purdy

Artist Bio

Robert J Purdy is a British actor and voice artist with over three decades of experience across theatre, television and film. Born in Eastwood, Nottinghamshire, and shaped in part by his early years in Oklahoma, his voice carries a subtle Northern quality – warm, grounded and easy to trust.

After studying Politics and Sociology at the University of Liverpool (while spending much of his time with the drama society), Robert moved to London and began performing stand-up comedy, earning his Equity card and laying the foundations for a long and varied acting career. That background gives his voice work a natural sense of timing and connection.

His screen credits include roles in The Diplomat, Emmerdale, The Office, Silent Witness, Doctors and Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps. Whether on screen or behind the mic, Robert’s delivery is defined by its sincerity and approachable charm.
