Artist Bio
Nottingham will always sound like home to Roshaan. Born and raised in the Midlands before moving to London for drama school, she credits the warmth, kindness and grounded nature of her hometown with shaping the person she is today, and you can hear plenty of it in her voice too. That earthy Nottingham twang is something she proudly carries with her, even if she wishes she heard a little more of it in London.
A graduate of Rose Bruford College with a BA in Acting, Roshaan has built a career across both screen and voiceover. Her recent screen work includes Season 6 of ITV’s The Bay, Season 3 of BBC’s Sherwood and Channel 4 comedy series Stepping Up. Behind the mic, she has already worked with clients including Netflix, the BBC, HarperCollins and Hachette.
Roshaan is fully Iranian and fluent in Farsi, giving her another important part of her identity to draw from as a performer. Her acting background also makes character work a particular favourite. Alongside her natural Midlands sound, she has a wide range of accents under her belt, spanning regional and Northern voices, heightened RP, Iranian and American accents.
