Artist Bio
A graduate of Fourth Monkey Actor Training Company, Florence began her career as a shy stage actor but quickly discovered her confidence through physical comedy and children’s theatre – most notably as Professor Moondust in The Wish Cadets, which received a funding grant in 2020. Since then, she’s lent her warm, dynamic voice to projects with BBC Primary, NHS, Daiser, Arcus Animation Studios, and more. She stars as Lila Skunk in the upcoming animated feature Strange Journey by JLC Comics.
When the world went quiet in lockdown, Florence launched Sleepless Creatives, the first ever sleep podcast made for actors. What started as a late-night idea has grown into a beloved resource in the performing arts world. Most recently, she launched her own production studio, Canary Studios, with a mission to amplify Queer and Neurodivergent voices in audio.
Florence’s style is best described as physically expressive, grounded, and versatile – with a sprinkle of silliness and soul. And yes, she really is known for that bright red curly hair, her signature lilac and yellow outfits, and her motto: “If I get odd looks walking down the street, that’s how I know I’ve picked the right outfit.”
