Artist Bio
Rachel is a voice actor, presenter, and award-winning performer from Middlesbrough, known for her infectious positivity and natural Northern warmth. Her love for voiceovers began at just ten years old when she recorded Christmas toy appeal adverts for her local radio station – paid in toy vouchers, which she still counts as her favourite ever gig!
Today, Rachel presents on BBC Local Radio, where listeners affectionately call her Positivi-Teate for her cheerful nature and uplifting energy. Her voice has featured in national and regional campaigns for Greggs, The Women’s Tour de Yorkshire, Grand Central, the Sheffield Bus Partnership, Gentoo Homes, and Warmseal, alongside projects for BBC Learning including Homegrown Heroes, The Happiness Half Hour, SecretTees, and GCSEPod.
As an actor, Rachel is best known for playing the teenage role of Kara in CBBC’s Wolfblood – convincingly at 24 years old – and for her award-winning turn in the short film Metroland, which earned her the Underwire Festival Acting Award. She recently appeared as Vicar Marion in Gan Canny, continuing to balance her on-screen work with a thriving voice career.
